The first novel by Thomas Pynchon in nearly a decade is coming out in December. The title is said to be "Against the Day". It spans "the period between the Chicago World's Fair of 1893 and the years just after World War I" ...."moves from the labor troubles in Colorado to turn-of-the-century New York, to London and Gottingen, Venice and Vienna, the Balkans, Central Asia, Siberia at the time of the mysterious Tunguska Event, Mexico during the Revolution, postwar Paris, silent-era Hollywood, and one or two places not strictly speaking on the map at all"....

Bedlam
I'm trying to blog regularly again in a few days - too much chaos in my head at the moment to be coherent. I'm reading Steven Johnson: Everything Bad is Good for you and The Mind wide open - very interesting! - but maybe that's the reason for the brains bedlam.
