St. Patrick's Day Parade in Vienna
Beautiful spring weather today for the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Vienna. Several hundred people joined the parade which went from the Schottenkirche (a parish church founded in the 12th century by Irish and Scottish monks) to a pavilion near the Burgtheater, accompanied by the Irish Ambassador in Vienna, the Vienna Energy Brass Band and the Vienna Pipes. Great atmosphere and costumes, lots of green beer, whiskey, salmon and more.
But see for yourself:

It looks like a perfect St. Patrick's Day parade to me. What a fine Irish Setter in the one photo, and some other nice-looking dogs in another. And green kilts, oh my!
Yes, the dogs were great, they even gathered at the stage and got big cheers! Those kilts look kind of cute, don't you think? ;-)
A friend of mine is in Vienna right now, and she's Irish. I'm sure she appreciated the parade!
Hattie, what a coincidence! It would be interesting to hear her side of the story!
